In this paper a backstepping control (BC) method with third-order sliding mode control (TOSMC) command of the Induction motor (IM), is compared to pulse width modulation (PWM) strategy and Modified Space Vector Modulation (MSVM) strategy, the use of a TOSMC controller with backstepping control methods in the minimization of phenomena chattering.
There are several major problems often associated with PWM technology, which are total harmonic distortion (THD). The presence of high ripples in each of: rotor flux, stator current and torque. To overcome all these problems, a strategy with strong performance with simple structure has been proposed, which is (MSVM) strategy based (PWM) strategy.
The simulation results of the studied technique show that it is a very satisfactory performance and good control simple structure of this new controller, and this is by using the program MATLAB / SIMULINK.
